Our Quality Management System
Our facility operates under ISO 13485:2016, the internationally recognized quality management standard specifically designed for medical device manufacturing. This ensures:

Certifications
- ISO 13485:2016 — Medical Device Quality Management System, certified by an accredited international body. Ensures our manufacturing processes consistently produce instruments that meet customer and regulatory requirements.
- CE Marking — Our instruments carry the CE mark, confirming compliance with European Union health, safety, and environmental protection standards. Required for sale in all EU/EEA member states.
- FDA Registration — Our facility is registered with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, allowing us to export surgical instruments to the United States.
- Free Sale Certificate — Issued by the Government of Pakistan, certifying that our products are freely sold in the domestic market and meet local regulatory requirements.
- GMP Compliance — Our manufacturing practices follow Good Manufacturing Practice guidelines, ensuring products are consistently produced and controlled according to quality standards.
Our 12-Point Quality Inspection
Every instrument manufactured at TAHMCO undergoes individual inspection:
- Visual Inspection — Surface defects, scratches, or discoloration
- Dimensional Accuracy — Precise measurement against engineering specifications
- Jaw Alignment — Perfect alignment of tips and jaws using magnification
- Joint Smoothness — Smooth action without resistance or play in the box joint/screw joint
- Hardness Testing — Rockwell hardness testing (HRC 40-50 depending on instrument type)
- Corrosion Resistance — Salt spray testing for corrosion resistance
- Spring Tension — Correct ratchet engagement and spring tension
- Cutting Edge — Sharpness testing for scissors and cutting instruments
- Tip Closure — Complete closure of forceps and hemostats tips
- Laser Marking — Legibility and permanence of markings
- Cleaning & Sterilization — Instruments are ultrasonically cleaned and passivated
- Packaging Inspection — Proper packaging to prevent damage during shipping
Material Quality
- German Stainless Steel — We use premium AISI 410 and AISI 420 stainless steel imported from certified German suppliers
- Tungsten Carbide — TC inserts for needle holders and scissors provide superior grip and cutting performance
- Titanium — Lightweight, non-magnetic option for microsurgery instruments
- Material Certificates — Mill test certificates available for every batch of raw material
Traceability
Every TAHMCO instrument is laser-marked with:
- TAHMCO logo or customer’s OEM logo
- Instrument catalog number
- Lot/batch number for full traceability
- CE mark where applicable
